The amendment No. 17 to the Parramatta Local Environmental Plan 2023 (PLEP 2023) that relates to a Site-Specific Planning Proposal (PP-2024-554) for land at 38-50 South Street, Rydalmere was made on Friday 29 August 2025.
The amendments to Schedule 5 of PLEP 2023 are as follows:
• Amend the name of heritage item #I694 from “Truganini House and grounds” to “Truganini House and riverfront setting”;
• Amend the property description from “Lot 10, DP 774181” to “Part of Lot 10, DP 774181”; and
• Amend the heritage curtilage that previously applied to the entire site so that it encapsulates only the heritage item and its immediate setting, as publicly exhibited and endorsed by Council (Figure 1).
