    Updated Concept Plan
Thank you to everyone who provided feedback during Phase 2 consultation for the Active Youth are Healthy Youth project at Rangihou Reserve. Following community feedback and further design development, the concept plan has been refined to better respond to community needs and improve the usability of the space. Key changes include the addition of a privacy hedge along the northern boundary to improve amenity for nearby residents, a noise-reduction basketball backboard, a larger shade structure with improved rain protection, a netball hoop, and bike racks.
Council is also proposing a bike repair station near the shared path and is exploring opportunities to celebrate and recognise the history of Rangihou within the reserve. The updated concept plan also includes a refined multi-purpose court, ninja warrior-style obstacle course, performance space, social seating areas, accessible pathways, drinking water station and other supporting infrastructure designed to encourage active recreation and social connection for young people. The updated concept plan is now available to view below.

Community Feedback has helped shape the final design
The project team is currently progressing detailed design and planning for construction. Further updates, including anticipated construction timeframes, will be shared as they become available. Thank you to everyone who participated in the consultation process and helped shape the future of Rangihou Reserve.
