Stage 2A of the Alfred Street Pedestrian and Cyclist Upgrade, connecting key spots from Granville to the picturesque Parramatta River is now open.
The new pathways between Eleanor Street and Clay Cliff Creek are now open, and include separated walking and riding paths, new street trees and raised crossings, ensuring people can walk and ride around Parramatta safely and comfortably.
Construction on the final section between Clay Cliff Creek and George Street (Stage 2B) is scheduled to begin in the coming months, with completion expected in late 2025. This will include wider path connections to local schools on either side to help get more kids riding and walking.
