Bradley Drive Reserve, Carlingford - Playground Replacement

Project background

Help Shape a New Playground for Bradley Drive Reserve

Council is planning a new playground for Bradley Drive Reserve in Carlingford, and we'd love to hear from you.

To support healthy communities and ensure access to quality play spaces, Council maintains around 150 playgrounds across the Parramatta Local Government Area. These range from large district playgrounds with diverse play opportunities to smaller local playgrounds designed for neighbourhood families.

Bradley Drive Reserve in Carlingford is a quiet local neighbourhood reserve with open grassy areas, a bark-based playground, slide, swings, and natural shade. However, the current playground is located on sloping ground in the middle of the reserve and can be difficult to access, with no footpath connection to the play area. The playground equipment has also reached the end of its useful life (typically around 20 years) and is now due for renewal to ensure it remains safe, enjoyable and accessible.

We're exploring opportunities to create a modern local playground within the reserve, with improved access and play experiences for children and families. The project will consider inclusive design principles to help create a welcoming space.

Now is your chance to help shape the future playground. Tell us what play features and experiences are most important to you and your family. Your feedback will help inform the playground design and ensure it meets the needs of the local community.
