Community Ward Workshops

From March through until May 2025, Council delivered a face-to-face workshop in each of our five wards to help us better understand our local suburbs. Each workshop ran for 3-hours and was able to accommodate 50 people representing their local community. A total of 256 local residents attended. The recruitment process was independently led and aimed to achieve a demographic representation of residents in each ward.

The first community workshop was held on Saturday 15 March 2025 for residents of the North Rocks ward, with the second taking place in the Epping ward on Saturday 29 March 2025, the third in the Dundas ward on Saturday 5 April 2025, the fourth in the Parramatta ward on Saturday 10 May 2025, and the fifth and final workshop in the Rosehill ward on Saturday 24 May 2025- thank you to all the community members that attended.

What did we hear?

Thank you again to the 256 residents that attended the community workshops. You provided us with extremely rich insights about both the things you love as well as the things that you want to see improved in your neighbourhoods and across the local government area.

Check out the video gallery to hear directly from workshop participants.

A report has now also been produced which summarises what we heard from you!

We are and will be using what you told us to inform decision-making on projects and services for your local community and the whole of City of Parramatta.

Stay tuned for more!
