City of Parramatta Procurement Policy

Council’s Procurement Policy (the Policy) was reviewed in mid-2025. The updated Procurement Policy applies to all procurement activities undertaken by City of Parramatta Council. The purpose of the Policy is to establish a framework to guide how Council’s procurement practices are to be undertaken.

City of Parramatta Council is committed to procurement practices which meet operational requirements, while achieving the highest commercial and sustainable procurement outcomes.

In accordance with Council’s Code of Conduct and Business Ethics Policy, all Council resources must be used ethically, effectively, efficiently, and carefully, in the course of public duties. Council is committed to working to avoid unnecessary consumption, including by managing demand for goods and services, and by maximising the efficiency of those products and services.


Policy now adopted

The Procurement Policy was adopted by City of Parramatta Council on Monday 13 October 2025 after being placed on public exhibition in mid-2025. Thank you to everyone that had their say.
