Draft Procurement Policy

Council’s Procurement Policy (the Policy) is now due for review. The updated Draft Procurement Policy applies to all procurement activities undertaken by City of Parramatta Council. The purpose of the Policy is to establish a framework to guide how Council’s procurement practices are to be undertaken.

City of Parramatta Council is committed to procurement practices which meet operational requirements, while achieving the highest commercial and sustainable procurement outcomes.

In accordance with Council’s Code of Conduct and Business Ethics Policy, all Council resources must be used ethically, effectively, efficiently, and carefully, in the course of public duties. Council is committed to working to avoid unnecessary consumption, including by managing demand for goods and services, and by maximising the efficiency of those products and services.

Submissions were welcome on the updated Draft Procurement Policy until 5pm on Wednesday 30 July 2025. Thank you to everyone that had their say.


Next steps

Following public exhibition and a review of all submissions, the Draft Procurement Policy will go to Council for adoption.
