Re-exhibition of Kleins Road Corridor in North Parramatta

In November 2025, Council re-exhibited a section of the Kleins Road Pedestrian and Cyclist Corridor Study (between Dunlop and Fennell Street, North Parramatta). The exhibition and proposal for new roundabouts was in response to conversations with residents about possible impacts coming and going from properties under the previous proposal.

Project Description

The late 2025 public exhibition was for a section of the Kleins Road Corridor referred to as Stage 2, between Dunlop Street and Fennell Street in North Parramatta. To visit the previous exhibition on the full corridor, with updates on Stage 1 and 3, click here.

Kleins Road Pedestrian and Cyclist Corridor Stage 2 forms part of a regional cycling and walking route from Northmead and will provide a safe and enjoyable link to schools, shops and onto Parramatta Park, river foreshore paths and the CBD. (The Stage 2 area is highlighted on the map in dashed GREEN.)

Council is proposing:

  • A bicycle path on Fleet Street (Greenup Drive to Fennell Street), with an improved footpath and drainage, new street trees and the powerlines relocated underground.
  • Fleet Street (Fennell Street to Greenup Drive) converted to one-way northbound, with new roundabouts at the intersection of Greenup Drive / Fleet Street, and New Street / Dunlop Street.
  • A shared path along Fennell Street (Fleet Street to Northcott Lane).
  • A shared zone in Northcott Lane (Fennell Street to Eels Place).
  • A raised pedestrian and cyclist crossing of Greenup Drive at Fleet Street.

Please see Resources to review the Summary of Additional Investigations and the Fleet Street Traffic Circulation Study.
