Proposed angled parking on Morton Street, Parramatta

All submissions must be received before the close of the public exhibition period. When providing a submission, you will be required to include:

• Your full name, address and contact details
• The name of the project
• Whether you ‘support’, ‘object to’ the project or you are simply providing comment on the project
• The reasons for your position (if you wish)

Submissions should be relevant to the project being publicly exhibited. Your response does not need to be technical or detailed, and you do not need to be a specialist to have your say. General comments and community perspectives are welcome.

City of Parramatta Council is proposing these parking changes to increase on-street parking availability and improve road safety, and reduce driving speeds along Morton Street.

The proposal will not result in any loss of on-street parking. Changing the layout from parallel parking to angled parking on the western side of Morton Street actually increases the total number of available on-street parking spaces for residents and visitors and using the road space more efficiently.

Once the public exhibition period closes, Council will carefully review all submissions. If there are no substantial objections and is approved by Council and the Parramatta Traffic Forum, construction works are expected to take place early in  2027. You can FOLLOW this page for updates.
