Construction to begin on Moss Street raised pedestrian crossing

Thank you to everyone who provided feedback on the proposed raised pedestrian crossing on Moss Street at Kleins Road, Northmead.

Following community consultation and completion of the detailed design, City of Parramatta, in conjunction with the NSW Department of Education, will soon commence construction of the new raised pedestrian crossing.
Construction is scheduled to commence during the week beginning 28 September 2026 and is expected to take approximately three weeks, weather permitting.

The new crossing will improve pedestrian safety and visibility, particularly for children and families travelling to and from Northmead Public School.

    Work hours will generally be:

    • Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm
    • Saturday, if required, 8am to 5pm

Some activities may need to take place at night. If night works are required, further notification will be provided.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to have their say and help inform the final design.
