Council have investigated the installation of a public toilet facility at this location in response to requests from the community.
The facility will be installed within the existing garden bed located at the east entrance to the car park, near the shops

The location of the new facility is based on the location and access to the available sewer connection. The site is accessible and doesn’t impact on pedestrian and driver sight lines. It is within close proximity to the active shop fronts and business. Direct access to an existing water location and proximity to a power connection were other considerations that informed the location. This location was also informed by a sewer feasibility process with Sydney Water. Having the facility in the proposed location also means that the centre will not lose any car spaces.
The facility will be a single accessible toilet cubicle.
A small section of concrete footpath may be installed to provide accessibility to the toilet facility, and landscaping will be carried out in the surrounding garden bed.
Council have dedicated $350,000 to this project as part Council’s Better Neighbourhoods Program (BNP).
You can find out more about the BNP at: Integrated Grants & Projects Better Neighbourhood Program | City of Parramatta
Construction is anticipated to commence around March 2026 and finish by June 2026, weather permitting.
Three (3) months, weather permitting.
Temporary noise, dust, and possible loss of some parking during works. Pedestrian access may change. Council will do its best to minimise disruption.
No parking spaces will be lost if the facility is installed at the proposed location.
Council will send out letters to local businesses, residents and ratepayers with any major updates. QR codes and links to our website will be displayed on signage at the site. These will direct you to the Participate Parramatta page where you can find information about the project. You can subscribe to the Participate Parramatta page and will be notified of project updates via email.
