Rebecca Parade Shops Upgrade

Project overview

We’re one step closer to transforming Rebecca Parade Shops, Winston Hills into a more welcoming, accessible, and vibrant neighbourhood hub.

💬 What we heard from you during earlier consultation

During stage one consultation, the community shared enthusiastic support for upgrading Rebecca Parade Shops, Winston Hills. Your ideas and feedback have helped shape the draft concept plan now on exhibition.

Here are just a few of the great suggestions we received:

"New lighting. A lot of kids come to the dance studio and tutoring business at night, and it always so dark."

"This upgrade should provide the community with abundant seating options and associated shelters."

“This centre has so much potential. It just needs the right upgrades to make it a place people want to visit and stay longer. ”

These ideas and many more have helped inspire the draft concept plan.

Public exhibition - Now closed

In late 2025, we checked back in with you about the draft concept plan which proposed:

  • Shaded seating and picnic area
  • Native landscaping and proposed street tree planting
  • Brick seating walls and upgraded furniture
  • Improved footpaths and clearly defined public zones.

The public exhibition period of the draft concept plan for the Rebecca Parade Shops closed at 5pm on Tuesday 28 October 2025. Thank you to everyone who shared their feedback.

Next steps

Following public exhibition, feedback will be reviewed to help finalise the design and construction will follow based on available funding and priorities.
