  • Robin Thomas Reserve sports field is now open, game on!

    On Friday 7 November 2025, City of Parramatta Lord Mayor, Martin Zaiter, joined NSW Government Ministers and Councillors to officially open Robin Thomas Reserve, Harris Street, Parramatta.

    The sports field has scored goals and hit a six with upgrades including:

    • A new irrigation system to help maintain the sports field to a high standard
    • Levelling of the sports field
    • New turf
    • A new synthetic cricket wicket
    • New goal posts.

    A quality field, better suited to meet the needs of our growing community, is ready to for the community to enjoy.

    The $2.5M+ upgrade of Robin Thomas Reserve was proudly funded by the NSW Government in association with City of Parramatta Council. The Office of Sport supported the improvements through its Everyone Plays Here grant program which promotes sport and active recreation.

    Transport for NSW is delivering a new sports pavilion building and associated landscape works in the northern part of Robin Thomas Reserve (corner of Harris and George Streets).
