Waratah Shopping Centre Improvements Telopea

The City of Parramatta will soon commence construction on the Waratah Shopping Centre Streetscape Upgrade at Benaud Place, Telopea.

The project aims to improve the look, accessibility and amenity of the shopping centre area for residents, visitors and local businesses. Works will include:

• New granite paved footpaths
• Improved pedestrian access
• Upgraded lighting
• New street furniture
• and associated landscaping

What’s happening?

Construction is scheduled to begin during the week commencing 18 May 2026 and is expected to take approximately six weeks to complete, weather permitting.

Work hours will generally be:

• Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm
• Saturday, 8am to 5pm

Council will make every effort to minimise disruption during construction and thanks the community for its patience while these important improvements are carried out.
