Youth inclusion in the City of Parramatta

Are you a young person who lives, works, studies or visits the City of Parramatta?

We'd like to hear from you!

Have your say as part of a Youth Focus Group on community infrastructure. CLICK HERE TO REGISTER

We're working to finalise a strategy that decides where and what Council will build in the next 5-20 years. This includes indoor recreation centres, libraries, community gardens, pools and parks. So if you are interested in city planning, recreation, community service hubsand providing the spaces and places where community life happens - including spaces designed for young people, come along! But you must register!!

What: 1 1/2 hour workshop to look at plans and provide feedback

Where: PHIVE, 5 Parramatta Square

When: Tuesday 22 September 4:00- 5:30pm*

Who: Anyone age 14 - 24 years of age

Previous events

On 27 August 2026, City of Parramatta Council invited young people who live, study, work or spend time in the City of Parramatta to participate in a Youth Workshop.

The topic was 'Loneliness, Belonging and Resilience' and what Council can do to support young people and strengthen social connection in our city.

What do workshops involve?

  • No prior knowledge is required, just a willingness to listen and share your ideas!
  • Workshops are designed to be interactive, relevant and fun. Plus youhave the chance to positively influence the future of young people in your neighbourhood and wider community.

Please note: Young people under 18 years of age will require parent/carer consent to participate in Council workshops

What happens following workshop?

Insights gathered through workshops, focus groups and pop-ups are shared with Council staff and Councillors, feeding into the planning and decision making processes that shape the City of Parramatta.
