  • Youth Inclusion Framework adopted by Council

Parramatta’s next generation are set to have their voices heard even louder, with the introduction of the City of Parramatta’s first-ever Youth Inclusion Framework after it was given the green light by Council.

The framework guides Council staff and youth organisations on how best to include and empower young people as decision makers and provide a platform for people aged 12-24 years old to contribute to the development of future services, infrastructure and initiatives.

By providing the foundation for council officers to create and execute meaningful action plans, this framework will improve inclusion outcomes with work to begin immediately.

The framework will also be used by Council to help make young people feel safe and supported, giving them opportunities to learn, work and lead, provide genuine spaces to connect, socialise and be creative and feel valued as decision makers.
