Local Orders Policy

The Local Orders Policy outlines guidelines for residents, businesses, workers, and visitors regarding acceptable standards in the local area, including property maintenance, public health, and safety. It provides transparent and consistent criteria for Council consideration when investigating complaints or issuing orders on various matters such as management of overgrown vegetation, unsightly or hazardous conditions, fencing adjacent to public land, hairdressing and beauty salon operations, and shared accommodation etc.


Public exhibition period - Now closed

Submissions were welcome on the Draft Local Orders Policy until 5pm on Monday 29 September 2025. The Policy was adopted by Council at the 10 November 2025 Council Meeting.
