Sue Savage Reserve Multigenerational Recreational Facilities

Sue Savage Reserve & Reynolds Park: Masterplan in Motion

Developed in partnership with the community, the masterplan provides an exciting new vision for this open space to guide and prioritise future upgrades based on issues identified during consultation with the community and key stakeholders.

The masterplan aims to provide safe and durable youth-based recreational activities that are lacking within the surrounding area. The plan includes a multi-generational facility featuring a new skateboard park, BMX pump track, fitness equipment, an amenity building, and additional car parking areas for Sue Savage Reserve.

Project Status

Sensational Sue Savage Reserve officially open

With a soft-opening before Christmas, allowing eager residents to enjoy the upgraded reserve during the school holidays, Sue Savage Reserve is now officially open.On Wednesday 18 February, Lord Mayor Martin Zaiter and Member for Parramatta, Donna Davis MP, celebrated the opening of the multi-generational recreational facility in Toongabbie.

Designed through a two-stage community consultation process, the mega upgrade includes installation of a BMX pump track, skate park, exercise equipment, landscaping, additional parking areas, and more.

Sue Savage Reserve now provides high and low impact recreational activities that were missing in the Toongabbie area, with facilities that can be enjoyed by everyone.

The $4M project was proudly funded by the NSW Government's Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants Program in association with City of Parramatta Council.

As of October 2025, the installation of the fitness equipment is complete; work on the amenities building has begun with services (water, sewer, electricity) installed; construction of the BMX Pump Track, Skateboard Park, and the car parks is underway. We know the community is eager for this facility to be open. With favourable weather conditions, the sensational new Sue Savage Reserve is expected to open before Christmas 2025 (weather and site conditions permitting).
