  • Project update - Council meeting date

Council will consider Approval of Concept Designs for Finlaysons Creek Trail Stages 2 and 3 at the Ordinary Meeting on Monday 10 August 2026.

To access the full report outlining the outcomes of the public exhibition, proposed scope, and next steps under Item 12.1. The report is available on Council’s website via the following link: https://www.cityofparramatta.nsw.gov.au/council/council-meetings-committees/council-meetings/council-business-papers.

In response to feedback received during and post the public exhibition period, the report to Council proposes the following design refinements:

    1. Planting eight additional trees. This will deliver over and above the proposed 2:1 offset planting (two trees planted for every unavoidable tree removal) identified in the draft concept designs.
    2. Between the paths and creek channel - north of Short Street - additional native vegetation will be planted to enhance the existing under-storey (as part of Stage 2). New native vegetation will be established to the south.
    3. Additional seating, bike racks, and a bike repair stand.

Members of the public are invited to attend the Council Meeting in-person (starting 6:30pm, in the Council Chambers at PHIVE, 5 Parramatta Square). The meeting can be viewed online via the livestream and webcasting page.

Members of the public may also apply to address Council at the meeting via a Public Forum. Please refer to the Public Forums Guidelines and complete the Public Forum Application Form on Council's website by 4pm on Thursday 6 August 2026. Please note that the public forum will commence in Council Chambers at 6:15pm.
